What is SAT Test?

How to Register for SAT Test in Pakistan?
To register for the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) in Pakistan, follow these steps:
- Create a College Board account: Go to the official College Board website (https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/) and create an account. If you already have an account, log in.
- Choose your test date and location: Go to the "Register for the SAT" section and choose your preferred test date and location. The SAT is offered several times a year in various cities in Pakistan.
- Complete the registration form: Fill out the registration form with your personal information, including your name, address, and school information.
- Upload a photo: Upload a recent photo of yourself that meets the College Board's photo requirements.
- Choose your test type and options: Select your test type (SAT or SAT with Essay) and any additional options, such as score reports or test center changes.
- Pay the registration fee: Pay the registration fee with a credit card or other accepted payment method. The fee varies depending on the test type and options selected.
- Submit your registration: Review your registration information, make any necessary changes, and submit your registration.
SAT Test Fee in Pakistan
The fees for the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) in Pakistan are as follows:
- SAT: $55 + $49 (Non-U.S. Regional Fee) = $104 - Multiply it with current Rate of Dollar
- Additional Fee: Change test center/ date/ test type (SAT) is $25 and Waitlist Fee is $53
Please note that these fees do not include any additional charges for sending your scores to colleges or other institutions. You may also be required to pay a registration fee when you sign up for the test.
If you are unable to pay the fees for the SAT, you may be eligible for a fee waiver. Fee waivers are available to students who meet certain financial and eligibility criteria. To apply for a fee waiver, you will need to contact the College Board directly and provide documentation of your financial need.
How much does the SAT Test Cost overall ?
The cost of taking the SAT in 2024 is as follows:
- Base Registration Fee: The basic fee for registering for the SAT is $60
- Additional Registration Fees:
- Changing your test center: $25.
- Canceling your registration by the change deadline: $25.
- Canceling your registration after the change deadline but by Thursday 11:59 p.m. ET before the test day: $35.
- Registering after the regular deadline but before the late registration deadline (only in the United States, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands): $30
- Score Service Fees:
- Additional score reports (beyond the first four, which are free if ordered within nine days after the test date): $14 per report.
- Rush reports: $31 in addition to the additional score report fee.
- CGetting scores by phone: $15 per call.
- Archived scores: $31 in addition to the additional score report fee.
- SAT Question-and-Answer Service: $16.
- SAT Student Answer Service: $16.
- Hand score verification: $55

SAT Test Dates

SAT Fee Waiver for International Students
International students are not eligible for SAT fee waivers. However, they may be eligible for the SAT International Fee Waiver, which provides a discounted fee for the test. Eligibility for the SAT International Fee Waiver is based on a student's financial need and is determined by the school or organization administering the test. If a student is eligible for the SAT International Fee Waiver, the fee for the test will be reduced to $29.50.
SAT Alternate
SAT is just one of many tests that students can take as part of the college admissions process. In addition to the SAT, many colleges and universities also accept the ACT (American College Testing) as part of their admissions requirements. The fees for the ACT are as follows:
- ACT with Writing: $68.50 (Approximately PKR 15,518) [Pakistan Currency Rate change with USD Fluctuation]
- ACT without Writing: $52.50 (Approximately PKR 11,893) [Pakistan Currency Rate change with USD Fluctuation]
Like the SAT, the ACT fees do not include any additional charges for sending your scores to colleges or other institutions. You may also be eligible for a fee waiver if you are unable to pay the fees for the ACT.
